Jim Cook is a partner in the Atlanta office of  Goodman McGuffey Lindsey & Johnson, LLP. He practices from the Atlanta office and is a trial attorney with extensive experience in Georgia state and federal courts. His emphasis is in general litigation of civil cases including premises liability, products liability, construction litigation, motor vehicle accidents, personal injury, insurance coverage and related areas of insurance defense.

Jim is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Atlanta Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, Atlanta Claims Association and Lawyers Club of Atlanta. Jim received his undergraduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1975 and his law degree (cum laude) from the University of Georgia in 1984 after working with IBM for five years in marketing. He is a Colonel, retired, United States Air Force Reserve. Jim was born in Atlanta in 1953. AV Rated.
