Edward Lindsey is a founding partner in Goodman McGuffey Lindsey & Johnson, LLP and a Leader of the firm's General Litigation Group.  His practice in all federal and state courts in Georgia involves commercial matters, products and tort liability, construction, professional malpractice, insurance and class action disputes.

Edward is active in the American Bar Association; Atlanta Bar Association (Litigation Section); State Bar of Georgia; Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, Uniform Law Commission (Georgia Delegate), Litigation Counsel of America, Defense Research Institute, the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, Atlanta Claims Association; Lawyers Club of Atlanta and the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers' Foundation.  He is also a certified Fulton County Arbitrator and mediator.  He has spoken to a wide range of community and professional groups including the State Bar of Georgia's Continuing Legal Education Programs, the International Association of Special Investigation Units, and the Central Claim Executive Association.  He has been recognized by Atlanta Magazine as a Georgia "Super Lawyer", and the Atlanta Business Chronicle as one of the leading lawyers in Atlanta.  In 2009, he received the Atlanta Bar Association Distinguished Service Award.

In 2004, Edward was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives representing Atlanta and Sandy Springs, and presently serves as the House Majority Whip, the fourth ranking leadership position in the Georgia House.  He also serves on the House Appropriations, Judiciary, Education, Ways and Means and Rules Committees.  In addition, he also serves as a Commissioner to the Uniform Law Commission and as a member of the Georgia Commission on Family Violence.  James Magazine recognizes him as one of Georgia's most influential legislators.

Edward received his undergraduate degree in 1981 from Davidson College and his law degree in 1984 from the University of Georgia.  Edward was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1958.  AV Rated.
