William Davis Hewitt is Of Counsel in Goodman McGuffey Lindsey & Johnson, LLP. Davis is a trial attorney with extensive experience in State and Federal Courts. During his over 30 years of practice, he has focused on the trial of complex civil cases, with substantial experience in defense of class action suits and civil rights claims, including discrimination and harassment issues, as well as corporate litigation, personal injury and insurance matters. Davis is a former Assistant Attorney General and current Special Assistant Attorney General with broad experience in State governmental matters. Davis has also been lead counsel in many class actions in Federal Court representing the State of Georgia as a Special Assistant Attorney General.

Davis is a member of the State Bar of Georgia. He is the former Chairman of the Alumni Placement Committee for the Masters (LLM), International Law Program, University of Georgia School of Law. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Belgian American Chamber of Commerce (2000) and a member of the King Bedouin Foundation, U.S., Advancement Committee-South.

Davis received his undergraduate degree in 1972 from Vanderbilt University, and earned his law degree in 1975 from the University of Georgia School of Law.
