Philip W. Lorenz is an associate in the Atlanta office of Goodman McGuffey Lindsey & Johnson, LLP practicing in insurance defense and general civil litigation. His practice is focused in the areas of personal injury, products liability, trademark and copyright law, business litigation, bad faith and coverage litigation, and general civil liability.
Mr. Lorenz graduated with a B.S., Magna Cum Laude, from Old Dominion University in 1998, where he was the 1998 Outstanding Graduate in Political Science and a member of the Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Societies. Mr. Lorenz received his law degree from Emory University School of Law in 2001, where he was the 2000 Georgia Civil Justice Foundation Scholar, and a semi-finalist at the 2000 Prince Evidence Moot Court Competition in Brooklyn, New York. During law school, Mr. Lorenz also served as the 2001 Spring Intern to the Hon. J.D. Smith at the Georgia Court of Appeals. Mr. Lorenz was a contributing editor to the Defense Research Institute's "The Daubert Compendium 2002," and co-authored "Legal Malpractice: Determining Statutes of Limitation," published in the Verdict, Winter 2002. In addition, Mr. Lorenz has served in the United States Navy, and retired as a Chief Petty Officer.
