Neal Childers joined Goodman McGuffey Lindsey and Johnson, LLP, in February of 2009. Neal's practice is focused upon the representation of employers and insurers in defending workers' compensation matters.  Prior to joining the firm, Neal had extensive litigation experience in civil rights and administrative law matters.  Neal holds an "AV" peer review rating.

Neal graduated from Mars Hill College in 1981 with a B.A. degree in History, and graduated cum laude with a juris doctor in 1984 from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University.  Neal served as Lead Articles I editor for the Mercer Law Review.

Neal served with the Georgia Department of Law as Senior Assistant Attorney General with the Public Safety and Criminal Justice Divisions from 1984 to 1999.  In 1999, he was appointed as Deputy Director of Legal Services for the Georgia Department of Public Safety.  In 2001, Neal was appointed as General Counsel for the Georgia Department of Motor Vehicle Safety, and served that agency until his designation as General Counsel for the Georgia Department of Community Health in 2003.  In 2006, Neal began service as Legal Affairs Officer for the Fulton County Sheriff's Office.  AV Rated.
