Ivy White joined Goodman McGuffey LLP in March of 2017. Her practice is focused on the representation of employers and insurers in defending workers’ compensation matters.
Ivy graduated from Georgia State University’s College of Law and Robinson College of Business with a JD and MBA in December of 2015. She delivered the 2016 student commencement address at Georgia State Law School, receiving the first ever standing ovation in the school’s history.
While in law school, Ivy clerked for the Honorable John J. Goger and the Honorable Alford J. Dempsey in Fulton County Superior Court. She was an active member of the Georgia State Student Trial Lawyers Association, competing in mock trial competitions for three years. Ivy served as a student attorney representing domestic violence victims for TPO hearings in Cobb County Superior Court, and also served as a Graduate Research Assistant to many of her law school professors. Ivy graduated with Pro Bono Distinction for completing up to 99 hours of pro bono service during law school, and was a 2013 Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA) Scholarship recipient.
Prior to law school, Ivy worked as a paralegal in an Atlanta law firm. She attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, and graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and concentration in International Business. Ivy resides in Powder Springs with her husband and children.
