J.D. Easley joined Goodman McGuffey LLP in October of 2014, after working with the firm as a law clerk while in law school. J.D.’s practice is focused upon the representation of employers and insurers in defending workers’ compensation matters.
J.D. graduated magna cum laude and in the top 10% of his class from the Georgia State University College of Law in 2014. While in law school, J.D. served as an Associate Legislative Editor of Law Review, won the American Bar Association Local Government Law Student Scholar Award, and participated as a student member of the Bleckley Inn of Court. He also had nine articles on legal ethics published on the American Bar Association website. In addition to these accomplishments, J.D. maintained a full time position at the Georgia State Capitol as the press secretary for the Georgia House of Representatives. Prior to his employment at the state capitol, J.D. worked in a congressional office in Washington, D.C., and served as the communications director for a congressional campaign. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with a minor in business management from Georgia College and State University, graduating cum laude in 2006.
J.D. was born in Augusta, Georgia, and now lives with his wife in Alpharetta, Georgia.
