Katie Dunn joined the Raleigh office of Goodman McGuffey LLP in February 2017, practicing primarily in the area of workers’ compensation. Prior to joining Goodman McGuffey, Katie served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Linda Cheatham of the North Carolina Industrial Commission.
Katie graduated cum laude from Campbell University School of Law in 2016. While in law school, Katie was a member of the Campbell Law Review, and served as an Articles Editor during her third year. Also in law school, Katie externed with the Honorable Judge John M. Tyson of the North Carolina Court of Appeals, the Office of the State Auditor, and the Forensic Resources Counsel of North Carolina Indigent Defense Services. Katie also clerked with two local firms and worked as a Research Assistant to Professor William “Woody” Woodruff. Katie is admitted to the North Carolina State Bar.
Prior to law school, Katie graduated from Appalachian State University with Bachelors of Science degrees in Chemistry and Criminal Justice. After college, Katie worked as a Laboratory Technologist in the Biochemical Genetics Laboratory at LabCorp. Katie and her husband, Hobie, her cat, McGonagall, and Great Dane, Lily, reside in Garner, North Carolina.
